Brushing teeth throughouly is hard. Brushing someone else’s teeth – while they cry, wiggle, and whine is even harder! Oral hygeine is so important for your child’s overall health, yet it can be so difficult to take care of them properly when your child wants nothing to do with it. Luckily, this ultimate roundup of tooth brushing tips for children is packed full of games, crafts and products designed to make this task much easier.
I tried to introduce brushing teeth fairly earlier to my kids (under a year). And although it’s started out as fairly easy, it quickly became a nightmare when entering the toddler years. My son would fight, wiggle, cry, scream and runaway just to avoid the toothbrush. There were even a few times we had to hold him down to do it (Which felt so disrespectful!). Luckily, we’ve made use of quite a few of the ideas below and toothbrushing time is so much easier now (no screaming!).
