I carry a lot of stuff. When I’m off to work, I have to carry a breastpump, my laptop, lunch and of course things that actually go in a purse. When I’m with the kids I’m carrying diapers, wipes, snacks and drinks; and if it’s a long excursion clothes, sweaters, socks and toys. Something about being a mom of two little ones seems to require I tote around our entire house wherever I go. So everyday, I’m accompanied by 2-3 large bags usually shoved into 1 larger bag.
I’ve tried a variety of other bags to hold our mammoth amount of stuff. A small purse for me and a small bag for the kids in a tote; a really really big purse; a diaper bag… but I haven’t loved any of them. Either the straps were too short and annoying, or there wasn’t enough space, or things would fall out.
I received the following product at no cost to facilitate my review; however all opinions remain my own. For more information, see my full disclosure policy.
Recently, I’ve fallen in love with the Gina Bag bag by Got Oil Supplies. It’s a stylish bag the has pouches, pockets and seperators galore, including 3 clear pouches on the outside. This particular bag is available in 3 colorways, the Gina, a polished black and white stripe bag; the Kim, purple and white stripes, and the Margaret, a hot pink and white stripe bag. The bag features 3 individual slots on the inside, a clear display pouch on the outside, a zipper pouch on the back and 2 pouches on the sides.
The clear pouches on the outside intended to display business cards and essential oils, but I think from with all types of businesses could use it. Display essential oils, jewelery, supplements, business cards, flyers. Such an easy way to get people talking. I’ve been displaying a flyer for my mommy and me class, a sticker of my website and a few bottles of essential oils in mine.
The bag features 3 (yes, 3!) different slots on the inside. A plain pouch, a zippered pouch, and a pouch with mesh bottle holders to hold all of your essential oils. Perfect if you’re an oil selling mama, as you can tote your oils safely and stylishly, and keep your class materials organized, but also perfect if you’re an oil using mama, like myself. I keep a few of my favorite blends in here (bug away, bruise blend, pain blend, etc), and it can also fit chap stick, perfumes, breath mints and small travel size items.
I use one pouch for all of my things (wallet, tissues, makeup), another pouch to hold my kids things, and if I’m going to work another pouch to pack my laptop and breast pump. This fits it all.
The little pouches on the side are great for a quick in and out such as keys or chapsticks. They are a little too snug for any of the waterbottles I tried, but I’m on the lookout for one that will fit.
Overall, this is a very versatile bag and will suit all kinds of moms. Self-employed mamas, particularly ones selling oils and teaching classes will be thrilled with all of the specialized compartments to safely tote their oils, pamphlets and materials safely. Stylish enough for every other mama, and big enough to tote around your kids stuff and your stuff without screaming ‘baby bag’, the Gina (and any of the other colorways) has quickly become my go to bag for everything.
