I’m always looking for natural care products for our household. There’s nothing more relaxing to me then winding down with a shower or a bath with sea salt and essential oils, having a nice massage and lotioning myself up. Having a toddler in the house and a baby on the way means I look towards products with safe and natural ingredients.
The Herb Farm delivers exactly that.
Handcrafted in New Zealand, the Herb Farm uses 100% natural ingredients to craft highly effective products. They sell products for the whole family, including mamas to be and children.
Natural Baby Pack
Natural baby products that have been specifically designed to care for baby’s delicate skin.
Herb Farm has bundled their all natural baby products into one convenient box. This would make the perfect baby shower gift for a parent-to-be!
Baby Calm Massage Oil
A 100% natural oil blend to nourish and care for baby’s precious skin. Promotes calmness and serenity.
Containing all natural ingredients, this message oil is great for use right after bathtime to help keep baby’s skin soft and supple and encourage a good night’s sleep.
This was much harder for us to test since my 12 month old won’t stay still for an extended amount of time. So our relaxing massage turned into me chasing a toddler trying to run away from me. I did manage to get a few foot rubs in before bed time though.
The oil absorbs into the skin easily and makes for a wonderful massage oil. The scent is light, and although I’m usually not a fan of the smell of chamomile, it’s not overpowering.
I’m super excited to use this on our new bundle of joy next year!
Baby Bot Bot Cream
A gentle and effective healing cream to soothe, repair and protect baby’s skin.
I had actually never heard the term ‘bot bot’ before and I had to look it up. It’s slang for bottom, which is exactly what I thought it meant.
I love this cream! It has a consistently like lotion without feeling greasy or oily like other natural diaper creams can be. The scent is pleasing but not overpowering, which is exactly what you want in a bottom cream. A little of this stuff goes a long way, and I found it easy to rub in.
My toddler stayed rash free in both disposable and cloth diapers. I even snagged a little for a rash that I was starting to develop in my arm pit and it went away within a day.
Although the website doesn’t explicitly state that it is cloth diaper safe, I didn’t see any ingredients that would make me hesitant to use them with cloth (According to Jenny has a great article on cloth safe diaper rash ingredients).
Overall, we loved this little cream and it’s now our go-to cream!
Gentle Baby Soap
Gently cleanses baby’s skin without removing the essential natural oils.
In general, I’m not a fan of bar soap – mainly since I can’t figure out the best way to store it. It seems to get grimy in containers, but if I leave it in the shower, either my toddler finds it and destroys plays with it, or water seems to drip on it somehow and it erodes. So in general, we’re a body wash type of family.
That being said, we really enjoyed this soap quite a bit. It lathers easily and nicely, allowing me to lather my hands and a sponge to wash my toddler. The scent on this is barely noticeable, which I found I really appreciated. The ingredients in this soap are gentle and natural, which is just what I want for my child’s skin.
Overall, we loved the products we received from the Herb Farm. The products contain 100% natural ingredients which is important to our family, and more importantly, the products work!
