Halloween has to be one of the most fun holidays for kids. Dressing up in costumes and walking around getting free candy? Plus as an adult whose child isn’t ready for trick or treating yet, I love giving out candy and seeing all the kids dressed up. Navigating the Halloween candy aisle as a Vegan, or someone with dairy or egg allergies can be difficult. Luckily, there are a multitude of treats that you can still hand out and devour!
I included links to Amazon (all affiliate links. See my full disclosure policy for more info) for easy shopping, but most if not all of these options should also be available at your local grocery stores.
Annie’s Fruit Snacks
Annie’s Fruit Snacks are a great Halloween treat without a sugar overload. The bags are themed making it suitable for Halloween Night. Plus these fruit snacks are also gluten free making them suitable for children with gluten allergies as well. Purchase on Amazon.
Mini Lara Bars
For the health conscious, mini Lara Bars are a great choice. Containing less than 6 ingredients, they’re a delicious energy pick me up. Available on Amazon.
Sour Patch Kids
Sour Patch kids are super yummy; they are sweet little gummies with a sour coating. Plus no gelatin. This candy is sure to be well received by the trick or treating kids as they are probably already familiar with it. Available on Amazon.
Cliff Kid Z Bar
On the healthier side, is Cliff Kid Z Bar. Give kids a boost of energy for that long Halloween night! Available on Amazon.
Popcorn Balls
A previous Halloween staple, I don’t see these around nearly as often as they used to be. Although many brands are vegan, not all are, so be sure to read the ingredients. Available on Amazon.
Airheads
A tangy, taffy like snacks, Air Heads are a candy many children are already familiar with, ensuring the neighborhood will love them. Bonus! Aside from being vegan, they are also free from the top 8 allergens (milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, fish, shellfish, wheat) making them suitable for many more children. Available on Amazon.
Justin’s Peanut Butter Cups
If you feel like it’s not Halloween without chocolate, try Justin’s Dark Chocolate peanut butter cups. Although pricier than the most well known brand, you can also get mini ones and hand out individually. Available on Amazon.
Fireballs
This spicy cinnamon candy is a great choice as you can get a huge tub for cheaper than many of the above candies. Available on Amazon.
Veganism doesn’t have to take away the fun from Halloween as there are many yummy treats still available on the market.
Will any of these candies make it into your Halloween treat bowl this year? What candies are you giving away?
